Audition Information
We are accepting students through DVD/Video/Digital File auditions or Teacher Recommendation forms. If you have a Teacher Recommendation you do not need a DVD.
DVD’s help us to better place you before the workshop. They are encouraged but not necessary.
Students that have previously attended one of our workshops need to submit only the required forms, fees and pictures.

- Student video (as explained below-if submitting a video) or Teacher Recommendation Form if NO video.
- Picture in First Arabesque and Head Shot(4×6 or 5×7)

DVD Instructions:
Please send us a DVD or VHS. Early Registration ends April 25th, Late Registration open until May 30th, 2012. Please label your DVD, Flip File or VHS with your name, age and email address and physical address. Also, please state your name, age and phone number in the beginning of the DVD. In addition to the video, please include a completed Audition/Registration Form (found under the Registration Tab in the Forms area). Please include a photo in first arabesque (on pointe if applicable) and the audition fee of $30. Check can be made payable to: Northwest Dance Intensive or NDI. Your video should show your entire body and face at all times. The video is for evaluation purposes only, so it does NOT have to be done by a professional. Dancers should wear leotard, tights, and ballet slippers, as well as pointe shoes if auditioning for pointe classes. Hair should be up in a bun or other neat and contained hair style. DVD’s should not be longer than 15 minutes.

Barre Exercises: (soft shoes for all) One side only of plies, degages, ronde jambe, develope en croix, ronde jambe en l’air, grand battement Center Exercises: (if auditioning for pointe classes, wear pointe shoes) Adagio, pirouettes en dedans and en dehors, petit allegro, grand jeté
