Summer Workshop

Session III – July 9-13th, 2012 Classes ONLY with founder Philip Beamish of the Beamish Body Mind Balancing Technique (he will be teaching during Session II as well)
To attend the Northwest Dance Intensive Workshop 2012 you must:
- Submit the Audition Registration Form (PDF Document – Right-Click and “save as” to download)
- Accompany it with the $30.00 audition fee and picture in first arabesque.
- Submit the Teacher Recommendation Form(Right-click and “Save As” to download)
- Once Accepted into our Program please go to the “Forms” page and download and print All forms and documents.
You will be notified by mail of your acceptance to the summer program within two weeks of your application.
* Returning students need to only send an Audition/Registration Form.
If you are a new student submitting a video will help us place you for choreography (see Audition page).
Workshop and Housing Fees:
Session I 2- Week Workshop Fee $950.00
Session II 3- Week Workshop Fee $1450.00
Session III 1- Week Workshop Fee $550.00
2- Week Housing Fee $1100.00
3- Week Housing Fee $1600.00
1- Week Housing Fee $460.00
Dancers will be considered either Boarders or Commuters.
Boarders will live on the campus of St. Martins University with a Dorm Host. This fee includes all classes, housing, food, transportation to/from classes and facility usage. It does NOT include being met at the airport or train station or the optional trips with families. Arrival meeting can be arranged with Host families or St. Martins Dorm Host.
Commuters are those students who live locally and will be driving daily. The above fees include all classes, and facilities usage.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
A non-refundable deposit of $300 must accompany your registration to hold your place in the workshop. First come first serve, send your registration deposit in or pay with Pay Pal, there is a 3% surcharge on credit card payments. Last year we filled to capacity, register early to ensure your spot. If paying in full the $300 non-refundable deposit is included in this fee.
**If not paid in full upon registration, the remaining balance of the registration fee must be paid by April 30th, 2012 for early registration and May 20th, 2012 for regular registration. We will send you an invoice for payment.
Personal Checks, Money Orders, VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Pay Pal or your Bank card accepted again there will be a 3% surcharge added on all CC payments. Checks should be made payable to: Northwest Dance Intensive or NDI. **Canadian check must be bank checks made payable in US funds.
We are using Pay Pal to process Credit Card payments. **You must put down your child’s name in the paypal “notes” when paying.
You do not have to have a Pay Pal account to pay, just follow the easy instructions on the web site once you hit Buy Now. On the Pay Pal page there will be a row of charge card symbols and to the right of them the word that says: Continue, press this button and follow the directions and pay with your credit card. The Intensive fees must be paid in full by May 20th, 2012, if openings still in the program late registration will stay open until June 15th.

GUIDELINES
All students must attend all classes regardless of injury, fatigue or soreness.
Age Requirements:
Students must be at least 9 years of age by the first day of the dance intensive and in good health. There is no upper age limit. Students must have a minimum of 2 years ballet training.
Arrivals
All students traveling via long distance need to arrive by June 24th, as registration and classes begin on June 25th.
By Car
If you are driving please map quest The Evergreen State College , classes will be held the first two weeks in the Community Recreation Center State of the Art Dance Studios, Room 116. The 3rd week classes will be held at the Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma. There is parking on the street and behind the school. The school is located on the 2nd floor of the building.
By Plane
Any student flying, should arrive at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. We will arrange a van to pick you up or you can take the Capitol Airporter Shuttle. Seats on the shuttle should be reserved at the same time that you buy your flight. The shuttle takes approximately one hour to arrive to Tacoma so flights should be planned accordingly. There is a fee for Shuttle service.

Children under 15 have to pay unaccompanied minor fee to fly except for Southwest Airlines.
Scholarships
There are a limited number of partial scholarships available based on need. You must contact our office and request the paper work for these. Due date is March 10th, 2012.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Cancellations made on or before May 24th, 2012 will receive a full refund minus the $300 non-refundable deposit fee.
• Cancellations made May 25th, 2012 and on or before June 14th, 2012 will have the $300 non-refundable deposit fee and 50% of the total remaining payment retained by NDI.
• Cancellations made on or after June 15th, 2012 all money paid will be retained by NDI and no refund will be given.
• Once the Northwest Dance Intensive has begun if you choose to leave the program no refund will be given.
• Once Northwest Dance Intensive has begun if you are asked to leave for any of the reasons specified in our hand book, no refund will be given.
*In the event of a natural disaster NDI will reschedule the workshop or you can opt to be refunded all fees minus the non-refundable deposit of $300.00.
