Facundo Luqui

Facundo was born in Mar del Plata (Argentina) in 1997, where he started his studies at “Escuela Municipal de Danzas Norma Fontela” in 2011. In 2013 he was admitted to the “Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón” and by 2014 he had already become part of the Teatro Colón’s corps du ballet. In 2016 he represented Argentina in two international competitions: “Prix de Lausanne” (Switzerland) and “IBC Varna” (Bulgaria). From then on he has performed soloist and principal dancer roles in several ballets, such as Rudolf Nureyev’s “The Nutcracker” and Nacho Duato’s “Por vos muero” in 2018, and Pierre Lacotte’s “La Sylphide”, Jerome Robbins’ “Fancy Free” and Ben Stevenson’s “Cinderella” in 2019. In addition to his permanent position at Teatro Colón, he is also part of the selected soloists company “Buenos Aires Ballet”.
