Vorece Batchman Miller
Contemporary Hip-Hop
Vorece was born and raised in Tacoma, WA. She started ballet at the age of 5 years old at Tacoma City Ballet. Vorece continued her training at Harbor Dance and Performance Center in ballet, jazz, contemporary dance and hip hop. She has studied ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop with Ms Christine, Kabby Mitchell III, Philip Beamish, Susan Jaffe, Gelsey Kirkland and others.
She has studied with Jehrin Alexandrea for 7 years, with her Evergreen State College ballet classes and her summer program Northwest Dance Intensive.
Vorece graduated from the Tacoma School of the Arts High School at which she majored in dance and choreography. She has attended the most prestigious summer programs, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, the Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet, Beamish Ballet and the Northwest Dance Intensive with Susan Jaffe, Philip Beamish and Gelsey Kirkland.
Vorece has been teaching ballet classes at Harbor Dance and Performance Center for the past five years and is currently on faculty there.
In the summer of 2016 she had the wonderful opportunity to work with Alvin Ailey Camp in Seattle, WA.
